Although only formed in 2009, John Grant and Alasdair MacKay have been playing together in various guises since 1996. Joined by other musicians along the way, Togail plays traditional music with energy and dynamism.
The roots of the band lie in the town of Kilmarnock, on the west coast of Scotland although their influences span all regions of Scotland, Ireland and beyond.
